Frequently Asked Questions

Contact Heather with any questions you don't see addressed here, and when you're ready, be sure to sign up for our email list and complete our client interest form and then get started with a program!

Virtual personal training begins with some questions I'll ask you so I can understand your fitness goals and preferences and history (including medical concerns) we should be mindful of. From there the program you choose will be available to download OR loaded into a fitness app so you can follow the training plan and healthy eating recommendations. 


I recommend using tracking resources (printable or virtual depending on your preference) with your fitness program  and sharing your results with me so I can offer feedback along the way. 


All of my programs can be adapted to fit your training preference. Whether you have a full gym to use, minimal equipment, or body weight only, the movements are designed to produce results. I will strongly recommend specific modalities for some movements in order to see the full benefit but keep in mind that I've worked on my own fitness with a full gym, home gym, on the go (hotel gyms) and while in an RV for two weeks with almost no equipment. I've got you!


The time it takes for your training process to yield results depends on your goals and your commitment and openness to this process. Remember that to succeed, your fitness goals must be realistic, you must commit to doing the work to reach them, and be teachable, aka follow the programming. 


It takes time to build muscles so give yourself grace but you'll notice changes in your measurements, in photos, in your mood and in how your clothes fit often times before you notice the scale.  Throughout your health and fitness journey you will also be building the muscle of commitment, habit...you're building a healthy lifestyle!


No one unless you give me express permission to! Your metrics (starting weight/measurements/photos and progress updates) will be used only by me to provide you feedback along the way as you work towards your goals. If you choose to allow me to share your progress I'd love to celebrate with you but only if you provide your express consent. 


I've worked with people from all levels of fitness experience, and was once someone who was afraid of working out because I didn't know what to do! You don't have to have fancy equipment or fitness experience in order to get fit, you just have to be teachable, willing to put in the work according to the plan, be accountable for your results and celebrate the milestones along the way!


My programs range from total body to specific target area plans, and also range in time commitment (1 week to 4 week, with an 8 week plan available on request), so it all comes down to what is your goal? You can explore the on demand programs I have available for purchase on my "Fitness Programs" page of this site, or submit an interest form to receive my personal suggestion of the program that's right for you.
